WHO WE ARE
Reliable Ladies Inc. was borne out of the need to change the world one person at a time. To make people see a reason to smile, to assist people with no strings attached, to help heal the broken, put a smile on the faces of the downtrodden, and make the world a better place.
The group still has a long way to go, we cannot do it all alone.
Morally with your good wishes and support, spiritually with your prayers and financially to help reach out to more of the underprivileged in our society.
I have been blessed with seasoned team members who make the job of catering for the poor actually fun. We are still growing and despite the current economic situation, we remain resilient and committed to this cause.
WHAT WE DO
The Organization is committed to improving the lives of vulnerable children, Women and communities at large.
Reliable Ladies pillars are equitable access to quality education, universal access to healthcare and a satiable need to provide balanced and nutritious food to the children, women and communities. In addition, We ensure that the communities have safety with better environmental surroundings.
CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS GOVERNING THE ASSOCIATION RELIABLELADIES
Section 1: The name of the association shall be Reliable Ladies
Section 2: Motto: Trust, Respect, and Solidarity
Section 3: Reliable Ladies was founded to carrying out solidarity for the less privileged (such as education; for example trading, education in health, arts and crafts, carpentry, sewing, hair dressing, internal decorating, and provide food, clothing and other supplies to orphanages, etc); to nurture our faith through prayer and bible study; to provide basic hospital supplies (e.g gloves, needles, syringes, thermometers, hospital beds, medications, and blood pressure machines etc) to a a Health center in Cameroon; to provide material support to children in homeless shelters in the DMV; to organize fund raising to support activities, provide education to the less privileged, train young girls and boys in any trade of their choice in Cameroon; to support the mission of the group, to work for justice and peace, and to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the group and empower women to love, respect and flourish in the community.
Section 4: To provide educational support to the 5 smartest students in Cameroon whose parents cannot afford tuition payment for them to complete their education till they graduate either from secondary or high school every year. The amount of $500 shall be disbursed yearly to the various schools for the tuition of each student making a total of $2500 in education spending yearly.
Section 5: To help train 5 children in a trade of their choice every year for the duration of the training. The amount of $500 shall be disbursed yearly to the various shops where they work or train.
Section 6: To provide material support to 5 homeless shelters in the DMV areas every year. The material support will be worth $500 spent yearly for each of the homeless shelters.
Section 7: Membership of Reliable Ladies shall be opened to women of different diversity who have values, a sense of commitment, are responsible, respectable, outstanding moral rectitude and character, and who support the purpose stated in Article II, and continuing membership is contingent upon being up-to-date on membership dues, group attendance, and commitments.
Section 8: Registration: Each member shall register with an initial registration fee of $300 which is non-refundable and a yearly renewal re-registration fee of $50.
Section 9: The leaders of Reliable Ladies shall form a coordinating team for conducting the associations meetings and activities. The members of the coordinating team shall consist of;
President, Vice president, Secretary, Vice secretary, Publicity secretary, Treasurer, Financial Secretary, Adviser, and social secretary
Section 10: All members of the coordinating team shall be elected every three years of being in office. Election shall be by ballot except where there is only one (1) candidate for an office; then the election shall be by voice vote. A leader may be re-elected to the same office, or may be elected to another office. No leader shall hold more than one office simultaneously, except on a temporary basis to fill a vacancy until it is filled.
Section 11: The newly-elected leaders shall be installed at the annual meeting and their term of office shall begin at the close of the meeting. The retiring leaders shall provide orientation to their successors and turn over all books and papers pertaining to their respective office at a joint meeting of new and retiring coordinating team leaders.
Section 12: The president shall preside or arrange for other members of the executive committee to preside at each meeting in the following order: Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer.
Section 13: The secretary shall be responsible for keeping records of all gatherings, including overseeing the taking of minutes at all meetings, sending out meeting announcements, distributing copies of minutes and the agenda to each group member, and assuring that all records are maintained.
Section 14: Members of the group shall attend all meetings and shall be prepared to summit to the group a brief report on the status of the work and recommendations for future actions.
Section 15: The treasurer shall make a report at each meeting. Treasurer shall chair the finance committee, assist in the preparation of the budget, help develop fundraising plans, and make financial information available to group members. Treasurer shall ensure that all money from Reliable Ladies are disbursed to the groups account. She shall provide copies of an audited, written financial report at the end of each fiscal year.
Section 16: The treasurer shall be a signatory on all bank accounts and in the absence of a duly-elected treasurer, the president shall receive the bank statements of accounts.
Section 17: The financial secretary shall assist the treasurer at all gatherings by receiving checks or cash from attendees and shall otherwise assist the Treasurer as needed. In the absence of the treasure, the financial secretary will assume the duties of the Treasurer for such time as necessary.
Section 18: These Bylaws may be amended when necessary by a two-thirds majority of the members. Proposed amendments must be submitted to the Secretary to be sent out with regular association announcements.
